The Winter's Tale

Madison Street Theatre | 1010 Madison St. | Oak Park |
November 10, 2017 - November 19, 2017
Tickets: $15 Discounts for students and seniors.

Polixenes, King of Bohemia, has been on a nine-month visit to the court of his childhood friend Leontes, King of Sicilia, and his wife, Queen Hermione. Groundlessly, Leontes becomes convinced that his heavily pregnant wife has been having an affair with Polixenes. One of the last plays Shakespeare penned on his own, “The Winter’s Tale” is a transcendent work of death and rebirth, exploring irrational jealousy, the redemptive world of nature, and the magical power of art.
