Please join us in welcoming our dear friend W. Kamau Bell to discuss his first book, The Awkward Thoughts of W. Kamau Bell: Tales of A 6' 4", African American, Heterosexual, Cisgender, Left-Leaning, Asthmatic, Black and Proud Blerd, Mama’s Boy, Dad, and Stand-up Comedian. You may know him from his hit CNN show, United Shades of America, or before that, his short-lived FX show, Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, Jason, the co-owner of The Book Table, knows Kamau Bell because Jason and Kamau have been BFFs since the 10th grade. Jason has been a champion of Kamau's comedy career since those first awkward open mic nights in Chicago in the 90s. With the publication of Kamau's first book, their careers finally collide at this special event.
